Fresh off a November $50 million funding round, Redfin’s looking to enhance its market presence with a new vice president of branding and advertising who will help the Seattle-based brokerage launch a large-scale marketing campaign, including TV ads, according to a recent job posting on the firm’s site.
In addition to defining and communicating the brand, the posting reveals the job includes the responsibility to “launch large-scale advertising campaigns on television and other media to bring a new brand to the mass market,” and that the ideal candidate will be hard-driving and offbeat, a “swashbuckler,” “pied-piper,” “grinder,” “believer,” “artist.”
The position purportedly will fill some of the duties once handled by two of the three execs who Redfin parted ways with in November: Chief Marketing Officer Tom Vogl and Vice President of Marketing Matt Goyer.
