Prodigy Network — the New York-based real estate crowdfunder that’s been in the news for putting together the financing for what will be Colombia’s largest skyscraper — has opened an office in Miami’s Brickell area, a hotbed for condo development.
Founder and CEO Rodrigo Nino said the Miami office will cater to accredited investors interested in deals the firm is putting together in Manhattan and Miami, the South Florida Business Journal reports.
Crowdfunders got a boost in September with the implementation of Title II of the Jumpstart Our Business Startups (JOBS) Act , allowing them to solicit investments from “accredited investors” with a $1 million net worth or who have made more than $200,000 a year for the last three years.
