Celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson has cooked for President Obama, Cindy Crawford and Ralph Lauren. But when Samuelsson and his wife closed on a $3 million Harlem townhouse in January, the broker who says he helped the couple shop for houses for four months didn’t even get enough to buy lunch at McDonald’s, the New York Post reports.
Broker Laurent Delly says he was the “procuring cause” of the sale, and has sued for his half of the 6 percent commission paid to the listing broker. Samuelsson’s attorney says the claim against his client has no legal basis. Source: nypost.com
