The National Association of Real Estate Editors (NAREE) has elected Daniel Taub, real estate editor of Bloomberg News, as the group’s 2014 president. Jean Dimeo, editor-in-chief of Builder Magazine, was elected vice president.
Shonda Novak of the Austin American-Statesman was elected for a second term as treasurer; and Polyana da Costa of Bankrate.com is NAREE’s 2014 Secretary. Steve Brown of the Dallas Morning News and Camilla McLaughlin, a freelance Writer based in Salt Lake City, joined NAREE’s board as directors-at-large.
Associate member Elizabeth Razzi, editor of Urban Land magazine, was elected second vice president, and Michael Walsh, publisher of The Real Deal, was elected board associate director. Kris Hudson of the Wall Street Journal, who served as NAREE’s 2013 president, is now chairman of the association’s board.
Founded in 1929, NAREE serves journalists covering residential, commercial and financial real estate, home and urban design, and green building. The group’s next meeting takes place Feb. 4-6 during the International Builders Show in Las Vegas, and NAREE’s 48th Annual Conference is slated for June 11-14 in Houston.
