National Association of Realtors CEO Dale Stinton has joined e-signature software provider DocuSign’s board of directors, deepening ties between the trade group and the firm.
NAR’s venture capital fund, Second Century Ventures, purchased a 5.43 percent stake in DocuSign for $2 million in 2009. NAR acquired 2.26 million shares of stock in the deal, plus options to purchase an additional 1 million shares within the next five years for 88.3 cents per share. NAR members are eligible to use DocuSign at a discount.
“DocuSign provides Realtors a professional, complete e-signature transaction management solution and is the industry standard for e-signature in real estate,” Stinton said in a statement. “I’m excited to join the board of a company that improves the efficiency and transaction service convenience that Realtors offer their clients every day.” Source: realtor.org.
