As part of Google’s Project Tango, the search giant has built a prototype of a mobile device that could have huge implications for real estate and home improvement, writes Propertybase’s Jennifer Sudick.
The prototype — a 5-inch Android smartphone with custom-built sensors and software designed to track the full motion of the device — can create a real-time, 3-D model of the space around you, Sudick writes, allowing a user to map the placement of furniture in a home, for example.
