The nerds at tech-focused brokerage Redfin never tire of crunching MLS stats that reveal different factors that can affect home prices (school rankings, the valuations of publicly traded companies) and also, ahem, get the company’s name in the news.
Seizing on Halloween as a newshook, Redfin today released a study showing homes near cemeteries take longer to sell, but sell for more per square foot. Redfin also evaluated 90 metros around the nation to identify the five cities with the most homes for sale near cemeteries — all older cities east of the Mississippi: Baltimore, Philadelphia, Chicago, Boston and Atlanta.
