About Wei
Wei Gan is co-founder and CTO of Ribbon. Alongside co-founder and CEO Shaival Shah, Wei founded Ribbon in 2017 to make homeownership achievable. The originator of the Power Buyer model - and the only open Power Buyer model - Ribbon empowers everyday people to compete for homes on a level playing field with high-net-worth individuals and institutional buyers. In his role, Wei oversaw Ribbon’s growth of over 10x in 2021, as well as over $3.5 billion of buying power granted to everyday buyers. Wei was previously a technical lead in Twitter’s revenue team, where he joined via a $532 million acquisition of TellApart. At TellApart he founded and led the mobile and Facebook team. He graduated from Duke Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Computer Science, and lives in Brooklyn with his wife.
