About Philip
Philip Hordijk is the CEO and founder of LEVEN Real Estate, a cosmopolitan real estate brokerage headquartered in New York City that connects high-end properties to discerning buyers worldwide.
Originally from The Netherlands, Hordijk speaks seven languages and has lived abroad for most of his professional life. He obtained a master’s degree in real estate finance from the University of Amsterdam and started his career at ING Real Estate, which consistently ranks amongst the largest banks in Europe. After spending two years in Buenos Aires, Argentina he permanently planted his roots in New York where he founded a boutique real estate agency in 2012, right when the global demand for prime real estate began to rise.
As an international specialist, Hordijk leads a multicultural and multilingual team of real estate agents that understand the intricacies of this competitive market, offering the upper-hand when it comes to negotiations and transacting. LEVEN Real Estate has sold over $200M of luxury real estate post-pandemic, and is actively expanding to other key U.S. real estate markets like The Hamptons, Connecticut, Florida and beyond.
Outside of real estate, Hordijk is a father to two children and husband to fashion designer Layana Aguilar. They happily live and work in Tribeca, each playing active roles in that community, and thoroughly enjoy traveling the world to visit family, friends and clients.
