The ABC Tool launched at Real Estate Connect SF 2011 during Start-Up Alley and was one of participants in our first-ever Inman News Demo Day.
I had a chance to interview the founder, Michele Serro, during Demo Day. She talked about how The ABC Tool is evolving and how it is launching a new version of the product, Doorsteps.com, in about a month.
The ABC Tool’s (and soon to be Doorsteps’) main purpose is to help buyers and agents explain “what’s next” in the process of buying a home.
If you are an agent and have ever worked with nervous buyers, you know they have tons of questions — and rightly so! However, sometimes it can feel like you are repeating yourself and answering the same questions over and over. Also, sometimes things go awry and you hear, “You never told me that.”
The ABC Tool is a great tool to explain to buyers in an easy-to-understand format what is next in the real estate transaction process. It does not take the agent out of the picture. Rather, it is a tool that agents can use to build trust and bring value to their clients. Serro calls this new version of the site “Basecamp meets BabyCenter.” It’s a tool that keeps you on track but also feeds your clients the right info at the right time.
