Inman’s Real Estate Connect starts today in San Francisco with the Connect Tech developers day. Unfortunately, I had a prior commitment that prevented me from travelling to this year’s event, but I suspect that I’m not the only one who couldn’t make it and has an interest in the goings on during the next 3 days. So what are we to do?
John C. Dvorak, PC Magazine columnist and self-proclaimed Cranky Geek successfully created a meta page of coverage of this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) that allowed him to attend that event remotely, and I suggest that the same idea be applied to the Connect Conference. This way, those of us stuck at home can keep up to date with the proceedings.
Now, some coverage is trickling out already – Greg Sterling has a quick post on a session he moderated on Search Engine and Portal Marketing. (I’d love to see the PowerPoint deck for that one, Greg). Zillow’s blog has also promised some updates.
But I would propose that anyone who is attendence and has the time/inclination to report on the days’ events do any of the following:
- Tag any of their posts with the Technorati tag ‘connectsf‘.
- Upload photos to Flickr and tag them with ‘connectsf‘
- Upload and share any PowerPoint decks using Zoho Show. If you like I can post them on a ConnectSF public site I created (if you’d like me to post them, please email me the decks – there is a 5MB limit on Zoho Show)
This will hopefully help us all keep track of the developments, and create a great record of the event itself. Also, does anybody know if any of the sessions will be webcast or podcasted?
