One of the easiest things you can do to drive more likes, comments and shares on your Facebook business page, is to cross-promote some of your posts on Twitter.
According to Facebook, only about 16% of the people who like your page actually see your status updates. So by promoting some of them on other social channels – especially on Twitter, will amplify your reach.
The easiest way to do this, is to post a link to any photos you post on Facebook to Twitter with a call to action to join the conversation.
Here is a simple 3 step guide:
Step 1:
Post a photo to your Facebook business page. In the status update box include 1 or 2 short sentences about the photo – something short, punchy and fun usually works best!
Step 2:
Once you have posted that photo, click on the date or the date/time stamp from Facebook. This will open your photo in a separate window and will give you a unique link to that photo.
Step 3:
Then go to Twitter and write a short tweet with a call to action that something was posted on your Facebook page, and what it was. Again, something short, fun and punchy works best. Copy and paste the link in the tweet from Facebook. The link is a very long URL so it will automatically shorten in Twitter, or you can use a free service like goo.gl or bit.ly to shorten your link.
That is it! Generally, I will tweet a Facebook photo two times – once immediately after I post it on Facebook and once later in the day for anyone who missed it the first time.
