[php function=1] After completing my first video class on Google+ and having more than 300 attend live, I can tell you that help getting started the right way with Google+ is in high demand.
I suspect that many will make an effort to avoid the steep learning curve that seemed to plague or industry as Facebook emerged as a player. Not in the technical sense, but more so in the etiquette of social marketing in general.
I was really excited when Chad Hyams and Ben Kinney of the Internet Marketing Specialist Designation (IMSD) reached out to me to teach a Google+ class to their members, even though the platform is still less than a month old.
You can watch the entire class in the video above (the Google+ content starts at the 20 minute mark) and I have also shared the presentation slides here:
Facebook Places vs. FourSquare vs. Scvngr
Empire Avenue vs. Klout
Groupon vs. Living Social
Apple vs Android
IMSD likes to provide practical digital marketing training to their members which is very much in line with what we do here at InmanNext.
The Google+ topics that Chad and I covered during our video were:
How do I get invited to be on Google+?
How new is Google+?
How many people are already using Google+?
How does Google+ work with the existing additional suite of Google products?
What is the first thing I should do on Google+ once I log in?
How to fill out your profile properly on Google+.
How to add hyper links and where in your Google+ profile.
How will the Google+ Ad platform operate in the future?
What is a +1 in Google+?
How does giving a blog post a +1 distribute that to your social graph?
How does the Google+ home page or wall work?
What are Sparks?
What is a Hangout?
Is a Google Hangout better than Facebook Skype video chat?
Is Google+ more like Facebook or Twitter?
Will Google+ affect the search engine results pages (SERPs)?
How will Google+ impact SEO?
How do I customize my Google+ profile?
I really feel like getting started with Google+ the right way will be a very important piece of your overall web presence as you will see I was passionate about in the class.
If you learned at least two things about Google+ that you were not aware of before watching this please let me know in the comments below.
