Google Maps has added support for your mouse’s scroll wheel, a feature I’ve long found lacking in their site. Microsoft’s Virtual Earth sites have had this feature for a while and after getting used to it, I always found it kind of annoying that I still had to use manual clicks to zoom in on GMaps. Their new implementation is pretty slick however, as it zooms into wherever your mouse cursor is on the map – rather than to the center of the page.
The feature is available on the newest version of the Google Maps API, so it’ll be interesting to see which of the GMaps driven Real Estate 2.0 roll out this feature first. Any bets?
