There are many applications that allow you to schedule posts in advance but studies have shown us that these posts underperform in the newsfeed.
Hubspot recently ran an experiment to analyze the effect 3rd party apps had on their content’s engagement.
They saw a 67% decrease in likes…
and a 60% decrease in click throughs.
I believe that the benefit of using these third party applications is offset by the negative impact they will have on your overall post impressions, click throughs and engagement.
How to Schedule a Post through Facebook.com in 3 simple steps:
1.) Log into Facebook.com as your Facebook page.
2.) Select the “clock icon” and choose a future date.
3.) Click schedule.
The next step is to review your scheduled post. In your admin panel, click on manage, then select use activity log.
Within the activity log, you have the ability to review, change the time, publish now and cancel your scheduled posts.
Posting to Facebook is only half the battle, you still have to be present to respond. I’d recommend using the Pages Manager application to monitor your page throughout the day and respond accordingly.
