Enormo, the portal formerly known as Properazzi (TPFKP), relaunched today with a brand new look and bunch of new services, as well as a series of geographically specific “gateways” in over 17 countries, including enormo.co.uk and enormo.ie.
The bulk of the changes came in the design of the site and refinements to the search engine, but the site also launched a global directory of real estate agents and a suite of new tools aimed at Realtors and brokers who may be looking to take their listings overseas.
Their model is very similar to US-based search sites like Realtor.com and Trulia, though on a decidedly more global scale. A monthly fee is assessed to upgrade (or spotlight) listings for international visitors. Enormo reports that it receives over 4 million international visitors to its site every month.
ANd while there are over 7 million listings on the site currently, there doesn’t seem to be any indication of how current or accurate the listings actually are. The US listings thus far seemed to be culled largely from a pool of third party sources.
Nevertheless, having an international component to your marketing strategy is important (especially in many coastal markets), especially as foreign buyers start to eye the wreckage of the US housing market. If for no other reason however, it can be a great differentiator from your competition when dealing with sellers.
