ForRent.com, a rental search site that is a part of Dominion Enterprises, has partnered with RentWiki.com, a socially connected rental search site that features user-generated content, including neighborhood reviews.
The exclusive partnership brings RentWiki’s user-generated content to ForRent.com and "creates another platform for renters to communicate with each other," stated Brock MacLean, senior vice president of national sales and development at For Rent Media Solutions, which operates ForRent.com.
"It also lets property managers monitor what is being said about the neighborhood around them."
RentWiki’s Neighborhood Wiki platform allows neighborhood residents to post comments about neighborhoods, and users will be able to access the platform via Facebook Connect. The site, which launched in January 2009, also allows renters and other local residents to communicate with each other.
ForRent.com’s operator also announced an integration with Walk Score, a tool that allows users to measure the walkability of a neighborhood based on its proximity to local amenities.
