Brokerage company RE/MAX of New Jersey has partnered with mobile applications company Smarter Agent to provide its 3,000 agents and brokers with branded property-search apps, the companies have announced.

The brokerage company’s agents will get apps to offer to their clients at no charge — the apps are designed for a variety of phone platforms, including the iPhone, BlackBerry, Android and Palm operating systems; non-smart phone systems on Sprint, T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon. Also, the package of apps includes a Web app that connects users to the brokerage’s mobile site.

The apps are designed specifically to work with each type of phone and essentially constitute thousands of unique apps.

"We have made significant investments in technology to ensure that each agent and office has their own mobile app to ensure maximum public exposure of their clients’ properties," said Jeff Snyder, co-owner of RE/MAX of New Jersey, in a statement.

In a recent Inman News smart phone survey, Smarter Agent’s mobile app was one respondents said they most frequently used for work purposes and one they would most recommend to clients.

"With their own branded app, RE/MAX of New Jersey professionals can empower their prospects and clients to search for homes with the device they always have with them — their phone.

"And, with their branded app … all calls are directed back to the agent/broker who gave the homebuyer the house-hunting app," said Smarter Agent spokesperson Andria Yandura.

The apps include listings from all nine of New Jersey’s multiple listing services. Users can get RE/MAX Mobile from a RE/MAX broker or agent, from the major proprietary app stores, from RE/MAX of New Jersey’s website, or by texting REMAXNJ to 87778.

RE/MAX of New Jersey has about 180 offices statewide and an estimated 20 percent market share in the state.
