As CEO of Lisle, Ill.-based Midwest Real Estate Data LLC (MRED), Russ Bergeron has been a staunch advocate of technological advances in the real estate industry and has offered a myriad of tools to MRED’s nearly 40,000 members to help them differentiate themselves in the marketplace. To that end, MRED partnered with several companies and initiatives in 2013, including National Association of Realtors subsidiary and property database Realtors Property Resource (RPR), Trulia’s “Shared Success Program,” CoreLogic’s MLS Data Co-op program, Move’s FIND application, and Move joint venture Builders Digital Experience Inc. (BDX). Before joining MRED in 2010, Bergeron was the founding CEO of Southern California Multiple Listing Service (SoCalMLS), growing its membership from 7,000 to a high of more than 55,000 during his 17-year tenure. He currently serves on the boards of directors for the Council of MLSs (CMLS), the Real Estate Standards Organization (RESO) and the MLS Domains Association (dotMLS). He sits on advisory boards for Realtor.com, Trulia, Supra, CoreLogic’s Realist, RPR and NAR.
