Gregg Larson, president and CEO of real estate consulting firm Clareity Consulting and real estate technology firm Clareity Security, has had a busy year. In May 2013, Clareity Security launched the Clareity Store, an online marketplace for multiple listing services and vendors to market and sell integrated apps and services. Clareity quickly announced partnerships with MLS platform providers CoreLogic and LPS, which will give 900,000 MLS subscribers across the United States and Canada access to the Clareity Store. Larson has been an advocate of securing the industry’s valuable real estate information since founding Clareity in 1996. In 2013, he spearheaded the formation of REDPLAN Inc., a new nonprofit organization created to protect the intellectual property rights of MLSs and brokerages. Clareity was also the driving force behind an anti-scraping product for the industry from Distil Networks. Larson also helped The Realty Alliance, a network of more than 60 of the largest real estate brokerages in North America, develop fair display guidelines for public-facing MLS websites. Such websites became a hot-button issue in 2013 when the National Association of Realtors added them to its list of basic MLS services.
