After attending Bucknell University, Karen worked for a large management consulting firm, specializing in marketing and sales strategies for pharmaceutical companies. After making the move back to Winchester with her family several years ago, Karen transitioned into the world of residential real estate. This was familiar territory, as Karen's mother is Nan Shanahan, a long-time successful Winchester real estate broker. At the time when Karen was beginning her career, she supported Nan in launching The Shanahan Group and the two continue to work together, building on the company's great success.
