One + Company broker, Byron Lazine, who also was nominated for an Inman Innovator award for podcasts, goes through the ins and outs of creating a podcast onstage at Inman Connect Las Vegas.
Creating a podcast people will listen to starts with finding your format. Lazine and his partner Nicole White have a weekly podcast, featured on Inman every Friday, that they sit down to do at the same time every Monday.
They go over three industry news stories each week, which Lazine calls an easy way to generate content ideas for the podcast.
After coming up with a format and consistently creating a show, you also have to push out your product across social channels such as Facebook, YouTube and Instagram, to name a few. Then, you have to just commit.
Lazine says people probably won’t listen. But if you stick with it, commit to the plan like you commit to your business, people will take notice.
