The luxury lifestyle is all about high-end homes, of course — but one other big asset that always comes to mind when thinking about or discussing what “luxury” means is the automobile. Cars have been status symbols and icons of success ever since they began replacing horses as a primary means of transportation, and the Petersen Automotive Museum has been cataloguing and memorializing the advent and rise of the car since 1994.
Attendees of the exclusive Luxury Connect event, taking place October 16 through 18 at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, will get the opportunity to sit in the Penthouse for 30 minutes of content about how to build a brand synonymous with luxury and then tour the first two floors of the museum at a special off-site gathering.
On the first floor, the Peter and Merle Mullin Artistry Floor, the focus is on the aesthetics and beauty of cars through the ages, displaying “rolling sculptures” that explore how cars have been used as a method of artistic expression and crafted to turn heads and quicken pulses. The floor includes a grand concourse lobby in addition to three galleries, two displaying cars that are works of art in and of themselves, and one that shows how cars have been depicted in art as subjects and inspiration for visual masterpieces.
The second floor, the Rob and Melani Walton Industry Floor, examines how cars have been manufactured and modified for functionality — speed and efficiency — including galleries devoted to hot rods and custom cars, cars with alternative power sources, motorcycles, motor sports, vehicle manufacturing, high-performance road cars and other areas that cover how the fastest, most efficient cars are designed and made.
To learn how the top auto-makers in the world create cars that marry both form and function for the ultimate luxury experience, and how you can build a real estate brand that’s also synonymous with luxury, register today for Luxury Connect and enjoy this special off-site event.
