December 12
Alex Bruno and John DeMarco opened Re/Max 5 Star Realty in Hollywood, Florida. “Re/Max 5 Star Realty is targeting all real estate segments and possibilities in South Florida to bring real estate to the next level,” Bruno said in a statement.
Sotheby’s International Realty announced the brand’s expansion in South America with the opening of Chile Sotheby’s International Realty. “Chile’s luxury real estate market has experienced impressive growth over the past few years providing an opportune time to expand the Sotheby’s International Realty brand into the country,” said Philip White, president and chief executive officer of Sotheby’s International Realty Affiliates LLC, in a statement.
Acproperty.com.au, Australia’s Chinese residential property website, is partnering with listglobally.com to start a new international portal website for Chinese homebuyers, sodichan.com.
IDX, LLC announced an update to the IMPress for IDX Broker plugin, which adds IDX lead management tools and code stability to more fully integrate IDX Broker into WordPress. “We understand that switching from IDX Broker to WordPress and back again can complicate day-to-day lead maintenance tasks. This is why we’ve brought even more of the IDX magic into WordPress.” said Dave Bonds, Senior WordPress Developer for Agent Evolution, which worked on the partnership, in a statement.

Simplifile, a provider of real estate document collaboration and recording technologies, today announced the addition of eight Georgia counties and four Louisiana parishes to its e-recording network. “We are excited to see steady growth of e-recording adoption across Georgia and Louisiana, and we will continue to work with recording offices in these states to make e-recording available to more citizens,” said Paul Clifford, president of Simplifile, in a statement.

Sotheby’s International Realty announced an agreement with New Zealand Sotheby’s International Realty to expand the firm’s operations into Fiji. “Fiji is known for its unique beauty and global appeal, which are attractive to the international buyer,” said Philip White, president and chief executive officer of Sotheby’s International Realty Affiliates LLC, in a statement.
