On January 16, 2017,  Inman will host its first ever Hacker Connect in New York City.

The day-long event is created by and for the real estate technology community and will bring together engineers, developers, designers, product managers, database architects, webmasters and technology executives to tackle some of the industry’s most pressing  technology issues.

A who’s who of technologists from across the country will be there to facilitate, debate and discuss best practices, innovations and breakthroughs, including:

The day will kick off with an eye-opening keynote from Molly Sauter, author of the The Coming Swarm: DDOS Attacks, Hacktivism and Civil Disobedience on the Internet.

Presentations on Blockchain and Real Estate, APIs Successes to Replicate and Pitfalls to Avoid, Using Emotional Intelligence and Cognitive Science for Designing UI/UX and Protecting Real Estate Against Phishing will follow.

In the afternoon, attendees are invited to roll up their sleeves and take part in collaboration sessions designed to tackle tough issues and come out with strategies for addressing real estate’s most pressing technology pain points.

The day will conclude with an open forum for attendees followed by a networking party at a landmark New York pub (beer pong optional).
