The largest residential real estate company in the United States has appointed a president and chief operating officer — a newly appointed role.
John Peyton will start his position on October 13; he will be in charge of the operational management of Realogy Franchise Group and its franchise brands.
“John Peyton brings extensive strategic leadership experience with world-class brands from his time at Starwood as both an operator and a franchisor in a multi-brand organization,” said Realogy CEO Alex Perriello in a press release.
“We are excited about the fresh perspective and valuable insights he will bring from the luxury hotel and leisure industry to our franchisees and their affiliated agents.”
Before coming to Realogy, Peyton most recently served as the senior vice president of Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, where he managed the brand-building, marketing and operations initiatives for well-known hospitality brands such as W Hotels, Le Meridien, Sheraton and Aloft.
Prior to his 17-year career with Starwood, Peyton served as an accounting and management consultant for Pricewaterhouse Coopers for 10 years.
When speaking of his new role, Peyton says he’s excited to bring his 17 years of multi-brand management experience to Realogy, who has an impressive lineup of franchise brands that includes Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, ERA and Sotheby’s International Realty.
“Realogy has a tremendous portfolio of brands that is unrivaled in the real estate industry,” said Peyton in a press release.
“The Realogy Franchise Group is well-positioned for continued growth and innovation, and I look forward to helping accelerate its growth trajectory.”
