The week in industry hires and promotions: September 19-23, 2016

Who got hired or promoted this week? Here’s our weekly rundown, in chronological order.

September 19

ERA Real Estate announced that it promoted Ed Barnes to the position of senior vice president of franchise sales. “A senior sales executive, Ed Barnes has expanded the scope of organizations not just in the real estate industry, but also in a variety of verticals including digital advertising, lifestyle publishing and telecommunications,” said Sue Yannaccone, president and CEO of ERA Real Estate, in a statement. “Known for his high level of enthusiasm and accountability as well as his innovative approaches to market development, Ed will strengthen our efforts to fuel growth at every level of the organization.”

Jon Gresley is the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s new regional administrator for region 9, which includes Arizona, California,  Hawaii, Nevada and territories in the outer Pacific. “I’m thrilled Jon’s bringing his years of experience to HUD,” said HUD Secretary Julián Castro in a statement. “He’s been deeply involved in managing a large portfolio of public housing and improving living conditions for thousands of families over the years.”

Southern California’s independent firm First Team Real Estate announced that Michael Mahon will be the new president. “Michael brings an impressive list of accomplishments to his role as president of First Team Real Estate, in addition to a number of unique characteristics that render him particularly well suited to lead the organization,” said Cameron Merage, First Team’s CEO and founder, in a statement. “He’s an expert when it comes to cultural development, empowering everyone with whom he works to grow, achieve and thrive as professionals.”

Stuart Pratt is the new senior vice president of industry relations at CoreLogic. “Stuart’s considerable public policy leadership experience, as well as knowledge of data used for risk and identity management serve as the foundation for his understanding of the industries which we serve,” said Anand Nallathambi, president and CEO of CoreLogic, in a statement. “His long-standing commitment to regulatory issues surrounding consumer protection laws will help CoreLogic to further develop key relationships in government and strengthen our ability to successfully meet the needs our clients.”

South Florida asset and property manager Monument Real Estate Services has appointed a new regional manager, Brandon Skinner. “We are pleased to continue expanding our South Florida footprint with the addition of these communities and welcome Brandon Skinner to our management team,” said Gregory J. Lozinak, COO of Monument Real Estate Services, in a statement. “South Florida’s growing economy has steadily added new jobs since 2010, and with 26.7 percent of the labor market constituting the trade, transportation and utilities industries, there is significant demand for suitable workforce housing.”

There’s a new vice president of industry relations at realtor.com, David Phillips. “Dave is a significant addition to our team,” said Suzanne Zinn Mueller, Move’s senior vice president of industry relations, in a statement. “His extensive industry relationships and hands on experience at the helm of both an MLS and association will allow for even greater collaboration between realtor.com and our industry partners.”
