Chicago ranked no. 78, with high education scores but low affordability and socioeconomic standings.
While there were 6,137 completed foreclosures across the Chicago metro in the 12-month period ending in July, foreclosure inventory dropped 32.6 percent year-over-year to reach 1.2 percent of mortgaged homes in CoreLogic’s latest market update. Serious delinquencies in Chicago surpassed Illinois’ statewide rate, reaching 4 percent.
