Culture is a word tossed around at events and seminars, but how many places actually put the work in to create an office culture that helps grow the company?
Rated as one of the Best Places to Work in 2016 by job-finder Glassdoor, Venterra Realty was recently recognized as one of the Achievers 50 Most Engaged Workplaces in the country. The company has an entire website showcasing its company culture, values, training and benefits.
“I feel incredibly privileged and thankful to work with such an amazing group of employees who get up every day focused on making Venterra a better place to live and work,” Richard Roos, Venterra Realty COO, said in a statement.
The judges of the Achievers 50 Most Engaged Workplaces Awards take eight elements of a worplace into consideration: communication, leadership, culture, rewards and recognition, professional and personal growth, accountability and performance, vision and values and corporate social responsibility.
Winning companies are chosen based by their “people-first focus,” and the positive feedback from its Employee Satisfaction Survey from the Great Place to Work Institute, an independent research firm that specializes in measuring a business’ workplace experience and employee benefits.
Founded more than 10 years ago, Venterra Realty is now the owner/operator of more than 15,000 rental units throughout the Sunbelt States, including Texas, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina and Tennessee. The company has seen 45 percent growth in the past three years.
One of the most prominent benefits at Venterra Realty is its on-site training. Beyond the standard new employee training, the company also offers leadership training, maintenance training, online courses and outsourced training. The company also offers education assistance for up to 3 percent of an employee’s annual salary.
The company has previously made it to lists like the 2016 Workplace Achiever by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and the Houston Chronicle’s top workplaces list in 2016.
