Niche’s scores are based on student and parent reviews, state test scores, college readiness, graduation rates, SAT/ACT scores and teacher quality, among other factors.
Martin County School District

With 38 schools for almost 19,000 students in kindergarten through 12th grade, Martin County School District is rated the no. 1 Miami school district, accoridng to Niche, earning high marks for academics and extracurriculars and activities. Martin County also ranks sixth in Florida.
Collier County Public Schools
Collier County Public Schools in Everglades Township is no. 2 in the Miami metro and no. 11 in Florida. Collier County holds 72 schools, educating almost 45,000 students. The district has high marks for student culture and diversity, as well as sports and fitness and resources and facilities.
Miami-Dade County Public Schools
Also in Everglades Township, Miami-Dade County Public Schools ranks third in the metro area and no. 12 in the state. There are 542 total schools and over 350,000 students in the district, which did particularly well in academics, teacher quality and student culture and diversity.
Palm Beach County School District
Palm Beach County is no. 4 among Miami school districts and no. 14 in the Sunshine State, with 276 total schools and 182,895 students. The district has high scores for academics and student culture and diversity.
Broward County Public Schools
At no. 5 in the metro, Broward County Public Schools holds 367 schools and over 260,000 students. Broward County Public Schools is no. 19 in the state, scoring well in academics and student culture and diversity.
Monroe County School District
Located in Cape Sable Township, Monroe County School District ranks no. 6 in the metro and includes 25 schools and over 8,000 students. Monroe County School District is rated no. 22 in Florida, with high scores for student culture and diversity, as well as extracurriculars and activities.
