Grove at Grand Bay is preparing for its grand opening and welcoming buyers who are set to move-in this fall after recently completing construction. The twisting, organic-like towers already reached sold-out status in the pre-sale phase, according to its developer.
The two, 20-story glass towers represent Danish architect Bjarke Ingels’ first condominium design in the U.S. and the first residential development to take shape in Coconut Grove in over a decade.
Developer Terra Group brought Ingels and his studio, BIG, onto the project alongside Miami designer Raymond Jungles. Together, the team created a structure harmonious to the waterside surroundings and Coconut Grove neighborhood.
“Coconut Grove is a special place with a well-defined soul, so it was important that Grove at Grand Bay respond to its community through a design that was respectful and distinctive,” Ingels said in a statement. “By creating twisting towers that rise side-by-side but never cross paths, we were able to optimize views, outdoor spaces and the flexibility of our floor plans while allowing the buildings to interact with one another.”
Combining luxury and smart design
The towers, located at 3675 and 2669 Bayshore Dr., are close to Coconut Grove’s up-and-coming business district, which is now scattered with restaurants, bookstores and new retail shops.
Landscaping and outdoor spaces complement the towers suitably to the community. Grove at Grand Bay features almost 500 trees, 15,000 plants and numerous water features. The building is also on its way to becoming the first all-residential tower to achieve LEED Gold status in the Sunshine State.
Grove at Grand Bay residents can bask in the two rooftop pools, a five-star spa, butler service, pet spa, private dining room, concierge and butler services. Condos range between 1,300 square feet for general units and 10,000 square feet for the full-floor penthouse, each accompanied by 12-foot ceilings and glass doors.
The penthouse unit features 5,000 added square feet of outdoor space, a rooftop terrace, private pool and designated four car garage. Residences over 4,000 square feet include two-car garages.
Grove at Grand Bay includes 98 units, half of which were purchased by domestic buyers, according to the developers. Cervera Real Estate manages sales for the property.
