In Malibu, it’s all about the lifestyle. More specifically, a California lifestyle.
A new luxury development is catering to the outdoor-centric and active homebuyers looking for a place to truly live as a Californian.
Cavalleri, previously known as Villa Malibu, is a property in the midst of undergoing renovations on a 10-acre plot with enough activities to rival an all-inclusive resort. The development will offer 68 residences by late fall, which will be available by July at an off-site sales gallery in the Malibu Lumber Yard.
The group behind the property, which also includes award-winning architects Edmonds + Lee and landscape artist Pamela Burton, has a vision in mind to make the property a modern, urban oasis with all the amenities one would need within arm’s reach.
What really shines at the property is the outdoor amenities that enable residences to soak up the Malibu weather. A walking path around the property, tennis courts, outdoor yoga terrace, 52-foot swimming pool, outdoor dining area, bocce ball court, dog parks and citrus groves are just the beginning. The building will also be home to a state-of-the-art fitness center.

“Cavalleri will be a haven for residents, embracing Malibu’s surrounding beauty, while remaining proximate to Southern California’s bustling nightlife, word-class dining and distinctive cultural experiences,” said Hans Galland, senior vice president of development for Pacific Eagle, the building’s real estate firm.
The building’s location is also a selling point. Not only is it in beautiful Malibu, it’s also about 45 minutes from Beverly Hills and is located in a highly rated school district. The property is meant to feel like it’s far removed from the bustle of city life without actually being a long trek from the city.
Starting at prices below $1 million, units will have two and three bedrooms with open living spaces, clean and modern style and high-end appliances. The residences will range from 1,577 square feet to more than 2,200 square feet and will boast spa-quality bathrooms, hardwood flooring and more.
