We are now officially in the third quarter of 2016.
Yikes.
How are sales looking? Goals being reached? Could some of the cool technology I covered this month help you get the year back on track? Here’s your final glance at what happened in tech this month.
Inman Innovator finalist launches updates
Agentdesks earned a spot as an Inman Innovator Finalist in the Most Innovative Real Estate Company category, and the timing was perfect.
This slick, mobile-first solution just launched a slew of updates, a web version being one of them.
Agentdesks is best classified as a CRM (customer relationship management) system, but conceptually it’s not as easily pigeon-holed. It lets agents connect on needs, share listings and discuss deals while deftly matching leads to listings.
There is now a direct feed into Agentdesks from IDX Broker, and the user interface was revamped.
This sharp piece of programming developed by a small team is worthy of its nomination.
‘You gotta friend in me’
Buddy Agent is a brand new company-wide referral tool designed for agents who can’t make that last-minute showing, have to miss an open house or don’t have the bandwidth to tackle another listing.
(Note: Inman will publish a full review of Buddy Agent on Friday, July 1.)
The software lets agents send tasks and request help to colleagues under the brokerage’s umbrella, creating a collaborative, family-oriented environment within a real estate sales office — something the industry is collectively sorely lacking.
Every agent completes a thorough profile to share all areas of expertise so that referrals can be accurately sent. Agents also have the option to be released from the task if it can’t be completed.
The Buddy Agent software lets agents send tasks and request help to colleagues.
With Buddy Agent, hectic real estate agents now have a platform for professionally bypassing business during those times when family priorities need to remain that way.
Shift the way you tackle social media
On June 3, I looked at Paradym, a streamlined Facebook listings promotion product.
I wrote, “What stands out the most to me is Paradym’s approach to training. The company’s Success Academy is an organized approach to best practices, marketing insight and software usage.
“These folks will help with everything from general training to how to edit video for the most impact on Facebook.”
Overall, the approach and technical features of Paradym are great.
According to our recent special report on social media in real estate, though, more people need help on how to market with Facebook, despite how prevalent it is throughout the industry.
Thus, I think the education and training services offered by Paradym help set it apart from other social media real estate marketing systems.
