Residential construction isn’t the most tech-savvy niche in the real estate industry, but HomesUSA.com hopes its expansion into top single-family builder metros will transform new construction success

The Texas-based tech platform, already operating in the Texas Triangle, now serves Florida, Arizona, North Carolina, Georgia and the D.C. metro area.

Ben Caballero, HomesUSA.com president

President of HomesUSA.com Ben Caballero was one of America’s top Realtors in 2015. Caballero strongly vouches for the must-needed transition from inefficient posting and sales tracking within the homebuilding industry.

“This Internet-based technology solves two of the biggest problems all homebuilders face. And the bigger the builder, the bigger the problem. [HomesUSA] centralizes their listing process and connects them to local agents that will help sell their homes,” he said.

Combining dashboard market insights, MLS synchronization, competitor reports, local agent marketing, listing image assignment tracking and weekly summaries, HomesUSA claims to reduce time on the market because of its high performance and detailed tech.

Expanding nationally

HomesUSA expanding means that — in addition to the Texas markets the company already serves — residential construction professionals in Atlanta, Phoenix, Charlotte, Raleigh, Orlando, Tampa, Arlington and Alexandria now have access to its services.

Based on the number of 2015 single-family permits throughout the country, HomesUSA technology serves nine out of  the 10 top homebuilding metros.

A deeper look at the tech

Builders using HomesUSA can access and monitor their MLS marketing and management on the spot. Dashboards reveal listing marketing time and inventory on locale, regional and national scales. It also provides information about images, property description accuracy and the duration of each listing.

One of the key benefits, Caballero says, is allowing homebuilders to eliminate price and status differentiations between the MLS and their websites.

“Our online Realtor reports are available 24/7, 365 and are generated in seconds, identifying for builders the Realtors who have sold new homes in specified price ranges and zip codes,” he said. “These reports also enable builders to monitor their competitions’ listings: by sales, price, zip codes, the selling agent for the most recent 12 months, and a whole lot more.”

A channel within the HomesUSA platform enables homebuilders to connect with local real estate agents, and there is a marketing aspect to allow builders to generate homes sales. In addition, a media management system tracks photo assignments, helps builders place photo package orders and alerts when images are ready to share across search sites.

Overall, HomesUSA includes over 40 services ranging from CMA reports and automated email alerts to weekly summaries available to managements and sales counselors.
