Real estate pros who live out of their car and swear by the Samsung Galaxy S7 — rejoice. Mobile real estate transaction app dotloop is officially available for Android.
The company announced the app launch Friday, free for all dotloop users to download on Google Play. Android aficionados have waited for their turn since the company released its iOS app in 2013. (The iOS app currently has 213 reviews for an average of four out of five stars.)
With dotloop, “users can manage their transactions by receiving real-time notifications on changes to their deal, sign documents with clients in person, or keep the transaction moving by sharing documents directly from their phone,” the company said in a statement.
The dotloop platform hosts all the pieces of the real estate transaction on your smartphone, and it aims to give agents a fast, efficient and 21st-century way to connect with the people and the information required to complete a sale from disclosure to deal’s end.
The app brings together clients, lenders, inspectors, brokers and agents in one digital space and guides users through the transaction “loop” sequentially.
“Real estate is an inherently mobile business, but agents have never been able to actually move their transactions forward with just a mobile device,” said Austin Allison, dotloop founder and general manager in a press release.
“With dotloop for Android and iOS, agents are able to quickly and easily stay in tune with their transactions and ensure a smooth process for all parties involved from the palm of their hand, no matter what platform they use.
“We are dedicated to helping real estate agents reduce friction in the transaction process and this is an important part of that process.”
The company also announced several new app features that allow users to:
- Create a transaction “loop” from anywhere using broker-provided templates.
- Transfer documents from Dropbox, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, or from templates and email
- Add a signature, initials, and other fields for quicker turnaround
- Collect signatures through a guided signing experience in-app, in person, or on the mobile web
- Receive push notifications when signing is required or when documents have been signed or shared
Zillow acquired dotloop in 2015 for $108 million. Users can purchase the personal version of dotloop premium for $29 per month.
