The mystery is over. Thanks to a reliable tipster, I learned that Alex Lange was tapped as CEO of Upstream, a platform for data entry, data storage and data distribution.
Sound pick: he has deep software chops, he understands the startup world well and he is considered an industry team player.

Currently operating partner of the National Association of Realtors’ (NAR’s) venture capital arm Second City Ventures, Lange was chief technology officer (CTO) of Market Leader, a SaaS-marketing, lead and CRM platform. Prior to Market Leader, he was co-founder and CTO of Roost, which was acquired by Vertical Response.
Lange serves as an advisor to several start-up companies. He was recently included in the Global Top 1,000 Chief Technology Officers.
