Today’s show starts with a parable: An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life. “A fight is going on inside me,” he said to the boy. “It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil — he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority and ego.”
The grandfather continued, “The other is good — he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith. The same fight is going on inside you — and inside every other person, too.”
The grandson thought about this for a minute and then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf will win?”
The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”
The moral of the story is that you always have a choice which wolf you’ll feed. Is your focus on greed and selfishness or on living a life of service? How you answer that question matters tremendously to your future career success.
How does this apply to real estate? Honestly, it’s bigger than just real estate — it applies to every aspect of your life. If you indulge yourself in selfish, superficial pursuits, then you’ll push others away, but if you focus on productive, service-oriented goals that help others, then it will be an attractor that draws others towards you and ultimately benefits your life and career.
