July 17
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development named Richard Green as its replacement for Edward Golding, former HUD senior adviser on housing finance. “We’re delighted that Richard is bringing his significant experience and talent to HUD this year,” Katherine O’Regan, HUD’s assistant secretary for policy development and research said in a statement. “His expertise will be immediately leveraged both for our housing finance efforts today and to help set our future research agenda.”
July 21
Moutaz “Mo” Karara was named chief financial officer at MRP Realty, a developer of commercial, residential and mixed-use real estate. “Mo’s years of experience working within the commercial real estate industry in accounting and financial reporting, including complex investment transactions, is a great fit for MRP,” said MRP managing principal Bob Murphy in a statement.
PrivatePlus Mortgage named Wil Hersh as vice president and mortgage banker. “Wil has the ability to quickly map out client needs and recommend corresponding solutions,” said Dan Smith, president of PrivatePlus, in a statement, “and that makes him a great fit for our team. Too, clients understand that their needs are paramount to Wil, and that focus earns him their trust.”
Opes Advisors, a mortgage banking firm offering real estate decision technology, hired Steve Mageras as its new vice president of capital markets. Also joining Opes Advisors are Laura Roedel as vice president of marketing and Brian Minnie as vice president of information technology. “Visualizing the longevity impact of real estate decisions is more important than ever,” said Susan McHan, CEO and mortgage bank president at Opes Advisors, in a statement. “Our proven real estate decision technology improves transparency and builds confidence, helping our clients understand their choices.”
Vincent T. Price was appointed the new chief financial officer and a member of the board of directors at CME Realty Inc. “We are very pleased to have added a seasoned financial manager with Vincent’s capabilities and reputation to the expanding South Beach Spirits team,” stated Kenneth McLeod, president of CME Realty Inc. “His many years of experience in corporate finance, accounting, and senior management will certainly strengthen our corporate structure and improve our position with current and potential partners, investors and other stakeholders.”
NTREIS promoted David Blake to chief technology officer and Cindy Miller to chief operations officer. “We are proud of our entire NTREIS team and look forward to the leadership both David and Cindy bring to our executive staff,” said John Holley, CEO, in a statement. “In this fast-evolving industry, we are confident that NTREIS provides, and will continue to provide, the best technology tools to support our shareholders and their members.”
Primary Residential Mortgage Inc., a residential mortgage lender, promoted Burton Embry to chief compliance officer. “I am pleased to announce Burton Embry as chief compliance officer,” said Dave Zitting, president and CEO of PRMI, in a statement. “His dedication, in-depth knowledge and expertise will elevate our operations and provide invaluable industry insight to PRMI as a whole.”
Timothy Li has joined RealtyMogul.com as the company’s chief information officer. “Tim brings a wealth of experience in marketplace lending to RealtyMogul.com, and is a great complement to our expanding C-level team,” said Jilliene Helman, CEO of RealtyMogul.com, in a statement. “He has the perfect combination of skills and experience in technology, risk, marketing and operations.”

ClosingCorp, a provider of residential real estate closing cost data and technology, named James Bolger its chief financial officer. “We’re delighted to welcome Jim to ClosingCorp,” said Brian Benson, Closing Corp’s chief executive officer. “Jim has a proven track record of helping companies harness financial information to empower decision-making and deliver a better service experience to its clients.”
Allan G. Dick was named vice president and Michigan state underwriter in WFG National Title’s Midwest Agency group. “There are few people in the Michigan title industry with as much knowledge and experience as Allan, and fewer still who have the kind of respect he’s garnered from his peers,” said Chuck Cain, executive vice president, agency operations, national and central regions, in a statement. “Adding Allan to our team demonstrates WFG’s commitment to growth in the Michigan marketplace and our passion for adding the very best resources to our staff.”

Baird & Warner hired Evelyn Fred as its new director of career services for the brokerage’s city offices. “We’ve had an incredible 250-plus agents join Baird & Warner in 2015. With Evelyn on our recruiting team, I’m confident that we will continue this momentum through the year and beyond,” said Laura Ellis, president of residential sales and executive vice president of Baird & Warner, in a statement.
Anthony Azar, Allan Dalton, Gregg Larson and Robert Spass joined the advisory board at Housefax.
