Should you move? Livability.com’s quiz may help you find the answer

Ever meet a prospect who’s toying with the idea of moving to another city? Sure you have.

Perhaps they’d benefit from taking a simple quiz released by Livability.com, a city information website.

Livability Quiz Question

The quiz asks 12 questions about an individual’s relationships, “place fulfillment” and “personality” to determine whether the subject ought to uproot themselves.

It’s by no means comprehensive. People should merely consider the quiz a “fun way to approach the subject” of moving and “perhaps a lighthearted way of introducing the topic to a family member or friend,” Livability.com said in a statement.

Livability provides city-level information on real estate, schools, businesses and health conditions.

It doesn’t drill down to the neighborhood level, and its city profile pages don’t dive as deeply as those provided by some other neighborhood information sites, like NeighborhoodScout and Niche Local.

Like Niche Local, Livability.com publishes rankings of the “best places to live.”

The practice of rating communities and properties feeds into many consumers’ online decision-making habits, but some housing observers say it could also adversely impact some areas and potentially test fair housing laws.
