Real estate tech’s supernova, Zillow Group, nabbed awards for three of its sites at the 19th annual Webby Awards presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences: two for its flagship site, zillow.com, and Zillow’s iPad app and another for its New York City portal, StreetEasy.
In the real estate website category, Zillow.com beat out its four other nominees — home remodeling site Porch.com, rentals sites Lovely and Rent.com and rental brokerage Nooklyn — for both the “Webby Award,” voted on by the organization’s judges, and the “People’s Voice” award, selected by consumers.
Another set of eight sites received “Honoree” status by the Webby committee in the real estate website category. The lone residential real estate brokerage among them, New York-based luxury firm Houlihan Lawrence, recently shared some of its site’s standout features with Inman.
Zillow’s iPad app won a “People’s Voice” award in the Services & Utilities (Tablet & All Other Devices) subcategory of the Webbys’ Mobile Sites & Apps grouping. Unroll.me, which helps users manage their email spam, won the Webby Award in that class.
In the same mobile site and apps grouping, StreetEasy won the People’s Voice award for “Best Use of GPS or Location Technology.”
