Consulting firm WAV Group has launched a new division, WAV Group Communications, to “create energy and excitement around the launch of new products and services for the real estate industry,” and named veteran communications and marketing executive Kevin Hawkins president.

WAV Group Communications will provide media relations and placement, editorial services and content creation, and digital and social media strategy and execution for clients including multiple listing services, Realtor associations, real estate brokerages and technology firms, the company said.
Hawkins, formerly vice president, communications and marketing at Imprev before leaving to start his own public relations consulting firm, has worked with real estate agents and brokers for more than two decades. He’s held marketing, communications and leadership positions at Fannie Mae, HomeGain, Inman News and Great Western Bank.
