Realtor.com’s experiment with AgentMatch may have been short-lived, but a majority of Inman News readers say they approve of services that match agents with consumers based on sales data.
Nearly 6 in 10 Inman News readers (57 percent) responding to an Aug. 20 poll said they approve of such services, although close to 7 percent said that was true only if the services don’t display the sales data used to match consumers with an agent.

The poll accompanied a story about a partnership between U.S. News & World Report and Agent Ace to embed the matching site’s widget in the real estate section of the U.S. News.
Agent Ace does not publicly rank agents, and displays agents’ transaction data anonymously.
“We’re not publishing a big list of agents and publishing all their historical sales or saying something like, ‘Our math says you’re a 28,’ ” Agent Ace CEO Mazen Fawaz told Inman News.
