The nation’s largest real estate brokerage, NRT, is planning to launch two listing portals to outflank the likes of Zillow, Trulia and realtor.com.
NRT hopes the portals will help the company more than double the number of high-quality, “scrubbed” leads that the brokerage feeds to agents in exchange for a 35 percent referral fee off the top of their commissions.
The news provoked strong reactions from Inman News readers. While some of these reader comments were not entirely serious, they also provide insight into how the initiative could impact real estate agents.
