RESAAS, social media network for agents, to be offered through Clareity’s MLS app store

The real estate agent-focused social media network RESAAS will soon be available to more than 550,000 agents who belong to more than 100 multiple listing services served by Clareity Security’s Clareity Store.

Clareity launched the store in May as a place for vendors to reach members of MLSs and Realtor associations that Clareity has direct relationships with through its “single sign-on” user-authentication product, and those it reaches through agreements with CoreLogic and Black Knight Financial Services (formerly Lender Processing Services).

The store allows those MLSs and associations to choose from a select group of MLS vendors in the Clareity Store and make their services available to their members from a “single sign-on” platform.

The Clareity Store typically works on a revenue-sharing plan, where vendors pay a percentage of their revenue to Clareity, which in turn splits the revenue brought in from an MLS’ members with the MLS on a 50-50 basis.

For now, RESAAS is a free product, so there’s no revenue to share. But RESAAS plans to launch several premium products this spring — including access to visitor metrics, enhanced branding and an ad product — that will bring it in line with the Clareity Store’s revenue-sharing model, RESAAS President Tom Rossiter told Inman News.

“This partnership with Clareity Security will not only allow our existing users to more easily access RESAAS, but it will also help welcome agents who are yet to discover the benefits of our real estate social network through the Clareity Store’s impressive nationwide reach,” Rossiter said in a statement.

Launched in 2009, last year RESAAS raised its visibility at industry trade shows, signing marquee brokerages like The Boutique Real Estate Group in Southern California and groups like the Asian Real Estate Association of America to the platform.

RESAAS’ end goal is to create a thriving agent social network to help facilitate referrals and eventually communicate with, and provide information to, consumers, RESAAS CEO Cory Brandolini has said.

To attract agents to its platform, RESAAS powers free white-labeled private social networks for brokerages, organizations, associations and franchisors. The groups get a social network, and RESAAS secures that many more agents to its platform.

This month RESAAS signed an agreement to power a global referral network for global franchise giant Re/Max.
