Inman News unveiled the remaining members of the inaugural class of the Inman Incubator program today.
Inman Incubator is a startup accelerator that offers a year’s worth of mentorship and up to $100,000 in promotional consideration to its enrollees, which may include brokers, technology companies, service providers, and others in the real estate industry with new, innovative products and business models.
“I really want to go after getting more brokers, startup brokers, and supporting those who are innovators,” said Brad Inman in introducing the enrollees at Inman Connect today. “This is a way for me to actualize that vision, where brokers who are doing innovative things we really want to see them succeed.”
The six enrollees announced today were: Contactually, Zoning Alerts, Zufog, Nestio, Bamboo Realty and RentShare.
The startups join seven other Inman Incubator enrollees that were unveiled yesterday. They were: HomeLight, Zumper, RealScout, NuOffer, Homing In, Happy Inspector and Realty Mogul.
In addition to mentoring and promotional consideration, Inman Incubator participants will enjoy referrals to startup accountants, banks, lawyers, technical groups and other service providers, business plan review, and two founder meetups per year in San Francisco and New York City.
“All of these incubators … they are able to tap into the Inman News community, and in talking to them backstage, that’s what excites them,” said Sherry Chris, president and CEO at Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate. “It excites them that they’re going to be mentored, that they have access to literally thousands of people”
Contactually is a relationship marketing (CRM) service that aggregates contacts from email, social networks and customer relationship management (CRM) platforms into a single database, and prompts users to reach out to those contacts based on context clues like social updates and recent conversations.
Zoning Alerts aims to aggregate zoning data to help real estate buyers and professionals make better decisions.
Zufog is a data analytics software that mines data from customer reviews and surveys to determine traits of employees and help management make smart hiring decisions.
Nestio powers a real-time listings management system that enables a property manager to update listings, display those listings on a public-facing website, and disseminate them to brokers. Nestio recently closed a $1.5 million financing round.
Broker Bamboo Realty specializes in properties for lease in the relocation markets of Houston, Dallas and Fort Worth. The company focuses on serving the needs of green-minded renters and smoothing the relocation process.
RentShare enables roommates to efficiently pay their rent online and share other expenses.
