Realtor.com operator Move Inc. is offering mobile-enabled "HyperSocial" tools that help agents collect recommendations from clients and broadcast them on social media sites like Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google and Foursquare.
Move launched its HyperSocial agent recommendations and profile pages in beta test mode in January. Profile pages use social graphing technology to reveal "mutual connections, extended relationships, and shared interests by layering the social networks of agents and consumers," Move said at the time.
The HyperSocial tools build on technology and talent Move brought on board through its July acquisition of social media search platform SocialBios. SocialBios founder Ernie Graham and co-founders Ira McMahon and Andrew Van Tassel joined Move’s product development team.
The three "didn’t just slap the word ‘Facebook’ on something, put a shiny bow on it and shove it out the door," said Move Creative Director Amit Kulkarni in a blog post today announcing HyperSocial’s emergence from beta testing. "What they did was build a tool that takes the fundamental principles of a successful real estate business and apply those tried and true concepts to the social space."
