Hillside Software has introduced an iPad Real Estate App that is integrated with the company’s Virtual Office MLS software and is compliant with the Real Estate Transaction Standard (RETS), an industry standard for sharing property information.
The Virtual Office MLS app, available at the iTunes store, is designed to take full advantage of the iPad’s capabilities and showcases many features of the device’s new iOS 5 operating system. For example, users can hand-draw boundaries on a touch-screen map to see all matching MLS listings within that area.
"The iPad is the first serious device that real estate professionals can use while on the go," said Alex Levy, founder and president of the Greenwood Village, Colo.-based software developer. "Until now, they were stuck behind a computer screen with a keyboard and mouse."
MLSs or Realtor associations must sign in order to make listings available to members through the app.
Hillside recently entered into a joint marketing agreement with the Colorado Association of Realtors to promote Hillside’s Mobile Marketing Toolkit to Realtors throughout Colorado, and will launch the new MLS iPad App at the Colorado association’s annual convention on Monday, Oct. 3.
