Redfin Inc. has updated the brokerage’s iPhone app to offer more comprehensive virtual office website (VOW) listing data to registered users, after finding clients using the company’s Android app liked having such capabilities.
Redfin’s Android app shipped last month with VOW capabilities, and "registrations shot through the roof," the company reports. "Android users visited more often than iPhone users, and registered at about triple the rate."
So Redfin has updated its iPhone app to provide a complete history of a property’s pricing, and reveal if it’s been taken off market and then re-listed.
Registered users can now also see Redfin’s "Agent Insights," — notes Redfin agents take about a homes they’ve toured. In Redfin’s core markets, its agents have toured as many as 30 percent of active listings, the company said.
The updated iPhone app also simplifies popular actions such as taking photos and notes during home tours that can be uploaded to the Redfin website.
