Discover MLS and Cloud CMA join forces

CORRECTION: The headlines in this article contained errors. Discover MLS is an independently operated technology company.

A nationwide multiple listing service platform is now offering full integration with a Web-based comparative market analysis tool, the companies announced this week.

Valencia, Calif.-based Discover MLS has joined forces with W&R Studios Cloud CMA, an online report-generator that combines multiple listing service data with information from online sources such as Zillow.com, Walk Score, Yelp, and Education.com, to generate three types of reports: single-property profiles, "buyer tours" that include neighborhood information, and a comparative market analysis (CMA).

"With the new integration enabled, users can search for listings or comps in Discover MLS and seamlessly launch a new Cloud CMA package to produce stunning reports that will help them win more listings and write more offers," the announcement said.

Discover Software Inc. launched earlier this year. Its executive team was behind the California Association of Realtors’ calREDD MLS vendor, Concentric.

In August, CalREDD merged with the Pomona, Calif.-based Multi-Regional Multiple Listing Service Inc. (MRMLS) to form a statewide MLS newly dubbed the California Regional Multiple Listing Services, Inc. (CRMLS). Discover announced that it had signed a multiyear contract with MRMLS earlier this month.

Cloud CMA was a finalist for Inman News 2010 Innovator Awards for most innovative Web service. The company was also a winner in a startup competition at Real Estate Connect in January.
