Sawbuck Realty has expanded to Phoenix and partnered with a local brokerage company, according to an announcement today.
Phoenix is the online brokerage’s second new market since the beginning of the year — the company expanded to the San Francisco Bay Area earlier this year.
Sawbuck users in the Phoenix area will be able to search homes for sale, see recent home sales, and view local market data on the company’s website. From there, Sawbuck will refer buyers to agents at local residential real estate company, Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty, to handle their transactions.
"We’ve been told we are crazy to continue to expand in this volatile real estate market. However, like any industry, the successful companies have the infrastructure in place to deliver in the interim and when demand heats up. With Russ Lyon Sotheby’s we are confident we have the best partner for now and in the future," said Sawbuck CEO Guy Wolcott in a statement.
Sawbuck Realty also operates in Baltimore, Md.; Boston; Chicago; Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas; the Inland Empire, Los Angeles and San Diego, Calif.; Phoenix; Providence, R.I.; and the Washington, D.C., metro area.
Also today, Sawbuck.com launched a new home page highlighting daily local market changes in the metro areas it covers. These include a video of most popular listings, a slide show of 15 similarly priced homes at price points that change daily, and top five lists of areas with the lowest inventory or the most detached homes for sale, for example.
Sawbuck launched a mobile website in January.
